Description
Sorenson Forensics has positions available for paid summer interns for students in the M.S. Forensic Biology program. Students meeting these qualifications and interested in spending the summer in the mountains, please inquire via email with Alexis Brown, Internal Lab Development Supervisor at : abrown@sorensonforensics.com.
Qualifications
Students must possess the following skills: Experience pipetting and handling microcentrifuge tubes Prior experience with biology lab equipment/instruments Experience following laboratory protocols Basic Excel skills Joy for research and reading research papers Attention to detail Thorough understanding of the scientific method Ability to design experiments under supervision Preferred skills: DNA extraction experience Real-time PCR experience PCR/amp experience Experience running genetic analyzers Experience analyzing autosomal STRs with GeneMapper Completed lab-based research projects
