Qualifications
Required Functions • Maintenance of plants o Plant fava and kidney beans, tobacco, cabbage, tomato, and peas o Water plants o Disinfect pots for plants • Maintenance of insect lines o Move adult insects to new plants weekly o Standardize insect lines for experiments o Disinfect insect cages o Make cups with mesh lids o Collect insects for experiments Maintenance of lab o Autoclave o Dish wash lab glassware o Biohazard disposal Disinfect lab benches and incubators Preferred Qualifications • Experience in plant biology, entomology or related areas • Molecular biology experience • Industry experience Competencies • Flexibility/Adaptability to Change • Accountability • Decision making • Contributing to Team Success • Planning and Organizing • Tenacity • Work Standards
