Description
The Texas Beef Council is seeking a full-time college intern for the fall semester. Applications are due by June 5, 2018 and can be sent to mclark@txbeef.org. The application link is below. Thank you for your help! TBC Internship Program Texas Beef Council, the marketing arm of the beef industry in Texas, is seeking a Beef Promotions Intern to work full time for one semester. Position Description: • Excellent communication skills • An interest in agriculture communication and/or advertising and marketing • Ability to multitask effectively • Willingness to travel throughout Texas • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to assess situations and problem solve as needed Physical requirements include ability to: • Stand for long periods of time • Lift up to 40 pounds • Speak for long periods of time • Travel independently Candidate must also possess a valid driver’s license and be acceptable under the company’s insurance policy in order to drive company vehicles. The primary function of the intern will be to assist the TBC Event & Logistics Manager in: • Preparing and setting up for events • Purchasing supplies and perishables when needed • Addressing questions and concerns from consumers and cattle producers • Special projects as needed and opportunity to gain experience in program area of interest. Internship compensation includes $12 an hour plus travel expenses and a $600 per month housing allowance.
