- The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGAPS) is looking to hire a graduate student for a part-time, paid graduate assistant non-teaching (GANT) position. Job Title: GANT – Student Success Coordinator Assistant Work days/times: Mon – Fri with evenings & some weekends Hours per Week: 20 on average but may fluctuate during peak event seasons Job Description/Summary: This position will serve OGAPS in a Graduate Assistant – Non Teaching capacity. This position supports and reports to the Student Success Coordinator. Assist with the preparation and implementation of activities facilitated by the Recruiting and Student Success Coordinator. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: providing event and programming coordination and assistance, scheduling facilities, creating presentations, revising existing documents and databases, performing mail merges, drafting new documents, maintaining recruiting e- mails, designing invitations, flyers, and other promotional materials, budgetary needs, recruitment data management, departmental and student emails specific to recruitment, running on-campus errands, and day-of-event facilitation. Other duties as assigned. Possible commitments outside of normal business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Qualifications
- Required Education: Current Graduate Student in Good Academic Standing English Proficiency Required Qualifications: One-year minimum previous work experience required. Must not graduate prior to May 2019; applications will automatically be declined if student graduates prior to December 2018. Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign Proficient skills with Microsoft Access Access to a car and valid TAMU parking permit. GANT will be required to transport materials to and from events in their own vehicle.
